ST. LOUIS—EyeCare Partners, LLC (ECP) has announced its acquisition of 20/20 EyeCare, the Louisville, Kentucky, and Southern Indiana optometry practice of Kevin Crawford, OD. Dr. Crawford opened the first 20/20 practice in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, in 1988. Over the last 30 years, 20/20 has expanded to seven locations in Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana. The practice’s 12 doctors offer comprehensive eye exams and a range of advanced treatments for ocular disease, specializing in dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic, and pre/post-operation care. In addition, 20/20 maintains a wide selection of frame and lens inventory to ensure attractive product options for ages and styles.

ECP CEO Kelly McCrann commented, “The acquisition of 20/20 fits perfectly with our mission to become the single stop, world-class solution for eye health services and eyewear product in every market we serve. Our organization is committed to the state of Kentucky and Southern Indiana and will continue to expand through partnerships with high quality, like-minded physicians.”

Dr. Crawford described his motivations for partnering with ECP, stating, “I am a believer in being ahead of the wave, and ECP is creating the strongest team of optometrists and ophthalmologists across the region to not only improve patient care, but also to improve our patients’ experiences. ECP offered our team an opportunity that others could not. Our practice has always experienced a very collegial and professional relationship with our ophthalmology colleagues and we are excited to partner with some of the premier practices in our area. Our patients will benefit from this partnership and will continue to receive the highest level of care possible. I look forward to the future with ECP.”

“Dr. Crawford’s long-tenured team of doctors and staff have demonstrated continuity of care to their patient base for many years and have earned a reputation in their communities that we aspire to achieve in all our markets,” added Jim Wachter, OD, ECP chief professional officer. “It has been an active year in the state of Kentucky for ECP and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our new partners.”
