CALGARY, Alberta—FYidoctors, Canada’s largest eyecare provider, announced late last week that Port Credit Optometry in Mississauga, Ontario, has recently joined the FYidoctors family. This acquisition adds to FYidoctors’ growing presence in Ontario, according to the announcement. Equipped with a range of diagnostic technology, a wide selection of designer and exclusive label frames and internal freeform lens designs, this location demonstrates FYi’s continued commitment to the Mississauga region, the announcement added. The terms of the transaction were not reported.

“I am extremely happy to have Dr. [Peter] Rozanec, Dr. [Lesley] Naumowich and the Port Credit team join the FYidoctors family,” Dr. Alan Ulsifer, chairman and chief executive officer of FYidoctors, said. “Dr. Rozanec created the Canadian Optometry Group to facilitate communication between optometrists on important matters across the country. We continue to be excited about our growth opportunity in Ontario and the quality of people that continue to see our model as a solution for the challenges facing the profession.”

Like all FYidoctors locations, the new Port Credit location will offer detailed pre-testing, comprehensive eye exams, a menu of current lens technology and custom fittings with their electronic measurement devices, the announcement noted.

Dr. Rozanec said the Port Credit team has joined FYidoctors, in part, “to continue our practice’s core principle of providing premium and leading edge patient care. It’s comforting to see how helpful FYi has been during the transition. Our team is delighted to be part of Canada’s leading eyecare group.”
