Modo Introduces Kid’s Styles to Eco Collection
Quick Take: Modo has presented their first Eco Kids ophthalmic collection designed to match the Eco collection for adults but with a playful touch.

Selling Points: Eco Kids offers styles made from non-toxic and hypoallergenic materials with round temple tips and spring hinges; like the 500, a soft oval made of recycled acetate with colorful temples, or the 507, a thin square unisex frame made of recycled stainless steel. “We are thrilled to enter the kids category with Eco. It is certainly a great tool to educate children on actions that can improve our planet,” said Alessandro Lanaro, CEO of Modo. The collection reflects the many features of the Eco core collection; an UL Environment Validation, the One Frame One Tree initiative and packaging made of recycled paper, soy ink and recycled soda bottles, as well as a system that allows customers to donate their unwanted frames via a mail-in recycling kit provided with purchase.

Sama Adds New Colors to Two Styles
Sama Eyewear has added new colors in two if its popular styles. The Toney ophthalmic style is now available in matte brown tort, brown matte horn and matte vintage tort, while the Black Onyx sunglass, the style worn by Brad Pitt in the movie Moneyball, is now available in gold with genuine yellow gold plating, plt, pink gold with genuine rose gold plating and kohl.
