Viva Presents New Skechers Optical Styles for Kids
Quick Take: Viva International Group has presented new Eyewear styles for kids for the Summer 2012 season. The new releases reflect the free-spirited lifestyle of today’s kids, combined with the fashion and sport styling of the Skechers brand.
Specifics: Eight new releases consisting of four ophthalmic styles for boys and four ophthalmic styles for girls.
Selling Points: The boys ophthalmic releases feature sporty elements and fun details, including rubberized temples and puzzle accented designs. Models SK 1040 and SK 1041 are metal frames with a raised temple design; model 1040 includes a full-rimmed metal front, while model SK 1041 sports a semi-rimless metal front. Rubberized temples add additional comfort to models SK 1034 and SK 1035, which both feature a puzzle design. Model SK 1034 offers a deeper eye size, while model SK 1035 features a more rectangular front profile. A lively mix of patterns and colors make up the new girls ophthalmic styles which feature playful design elements like shooting stars, flowers and paisley swirls. Colorful rubber stars decorate the temples of models SK 1508 and SK 1509; while models SK 1510 and SK 1511 feature metal temples accented by three polka dot flowers and a paisley swirl design. Style SK 1510 features a full metal rim in a modified oval shape, while model SK 1511 features an acetate front with a soft bowtie shape.

Puma by Charmant Intros New Optical Styles

Eastern States Bows New Jaguar Sun Collection
Quick Take: Eastern States Eyewear has announced the release of seven new Jaguar sunglass styles. The new collection features a mix of Jaguar’s classical sensibilities as well several styles that have a more youthful, fashion forward edge.
Specifics: There are six metal styles and one plastic total, the majority of which are RXable.
Selling Points: Each Jaguar sunglass features a polarized lens option, each style also features one fashion lens option which allows the account to choose which type of lens best fits their shop’s needs. Several materials are used and intermingled, including monel, acetate, carbon fiber and an aluminum-magnesium alloy. Various design details include layered metal detailing, a mix of colors including black, gold, gunmetal, red, brown and tortoise. Legacie Unveils 'Radiance,' the Latest from Judith Leiber
Quick Take: Legacie, the luxury house of B. Robinson, has unveiled the latest Judith Leiber group, Radiance.
Specifics: There are three new acetate styles in the collection, one sun and two optical styles.
Selling Points: The exploration of mixed media served as the inspiration behind the Radiance group. The Art Nouveau-influenced temple decor features a combination of titanium, enamel and genuine Austrian crystals; while the accent colors of the laminate frame fronts are picked up in the enamel pieces. A vibrant color palette is apparent on the JL 1643SG, a round sunglass, as well as the optical JL 1644 and JL 1645, an oval cat eye and rounded rectangle respectively, with the bold enamel décor acting as the centerpiece of the heavily embellished temple design.
