Ogi Launches New Lightweight Seraphin Collection
Quick Take: Ogi has introduced the next level of Seraphin’s neoclassical revival featuring an innovative new combination construction.

Specifics: Each of the five new styles features a stainless steel core enveloped in premium Italian acetate. The unique core acts almost like a skeleton, offering superior strength with lightweight durability, unparalleled adjustability and chic pops of color.
Selling Points: Each new style is a modern interpretation of vintage classic. The Berkley features circular steel accents, an emphasized keyhole bridge and a unique matte to smooth fade finish. The Sandburg carries the classic rectangular shape to the forefront of high fashion in faceted hues ranging from amber tortoise to blue fusion and the Kelly offers smooth, swooping arches and soft, feminine curves combined with the stainless steel core to provide lightweight durability with ultra-feminine style.

Viva Presents Catherine Deneuve Lunettes Fall Collection
Quick Take: Viva International Group has released new styles into the Catherine Deneuve Lunettes collection for Fall 2013.
Specifics: The two new ophthalmic styles feature elaborately designed temple treatments. Refined design elements, including filigree detailing and marbleized colorations, deliver the perfect accessory for today’s mature woman.
Selling Points: Metal end pieces accented by filigree detailing adorn the sophisticated temple design of models CD-323 and CD-324. The modified cat-eye front shape of model CD-323 is offered in multi-layered acetates, including solid black over crystal, brown over crystal and translucent pink over crystal. Model CD-324 features a modified rectangular shaped metal front in satin finishes of black, brown and pink. Handmade acetate temples in marbleized colorations, including clear and black, brown marble and a triple laminate of pink horn, white and white amber, complete the look. Gucci Unveils the Web Ribbon Eyewear Collection
Quick Take: For Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 Safilo has introduced a new Gucci eyewear collection featuring the brand’s iconic web stripe detail on the temples.
Specifics: The collection includes four pairs of sunglasses and three optical frames, as well as three special Asian fit sunglasses and two Asian fit optical frames, with the web stripe, one of the House’s most iconic motifs, reinterpreted as a grosgrain detail in green-red-green and blue-red-blue.
Selling Points: The web ribbon range reflects Gucci’s traditions with a contemporary and sophisticated twist. The sunglasses and optical frames, available in metal versions or in Optyl are decorated with the web stripe detail on the temples fixed externally by a gold-colored metallic “GG Brit” logo and internally by a metal plaque bearing the House’s engraved trademark. The new web ribbon models come in a variety of shapes, including round, square or rectangle, and in a variety of natural tones, such as Havana, white, red, blue and black. As part of a worldwide eco-friendly program designed to progressively reduce the company’s impact on the environment, Gucci sunglasses feature 100 percent recyclable packaging, unique foldable cases to minimize stock space, limiting both weight and amount of shipments and in turn helping to reduce 60 percent of CO2 emissions.

Maui Jim Introduces PureAir Series of Sunglasses
Quick Take: Maui Jim has introduced the first styles in the PureAir series of sunglasses that combine the company’s ultra-light MauiPure lens technology with an ultra-light frame technology that makes these sunglasses feel like "pure air."
Specifics: PureAir frames use Grilamid TR90LX, a thermo-plastic that is known for its durability and ability to retain its shape, even when the material is thin or flexed. This material also has the ability to be clear and transparent and to be colored in transparent or opaque applications, allowing for a wide range of creativity in eyewear design.
Selling Points: All PureAir frames feature Maui Jim’s proprietary MauiPure lenses. The hybrid, injection-molded, de-centered lenses are the lightest lens material in the Maui Jim portfolio and are optically clear (ABBE value of 50). These lenses feature up to nine layers of patented PolarizedPlus2 lens technology that cuts 99.9 percent of glare and eliminates 100 percent of all UV rays to reduce eye strain. MauiPure lenses also are protected with waterproof and oleophobic coatings. The first PureAir style to arrive is Bamboo Forest (style #415, 9), a rectangular frame that offers full coverage for midsize to large faces. Bamboo Forest is a 6-base style with an eye size of 60 mm, bridge size of 18 mm, and temple length of 125 mm. The PureAir Collection is covered by the company’s standard warranty. MauiPure lenses are not available in prescription. Additional styles in the PureAir Collection will come on the market later this fall, including Pipiwai Trail (style #416), Seven Pools (style #417) and Twin Falls (style #418).

Silhouette Debuts Adidas Lazair Models
The Adidas Lazair collection from Silhouette is cut out of ultra-lightweight performance steel using innovative laser technology. There are five half rim models and three full rim models in the collection, each with a range of eight colors. The wearer will hardly notice the lightweight optical models, and others will appreciate the clean and sporty design. The frame and temples are made of hypoallergenic performance steel. Adjustable nose pads also make the eyewear comfortable to wear with the pad surface area that has been minimized to prevent unnecessary perspiration.

Costa Expands Camouflage Line
New for fall, Costa Sunglasses has released six of its styles in the Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades frame color.
