Quick Take: Alternative Eyewear has introduced a brand new collection called Vue. According to Alternative, the goal of Vue is to offer quality and style while remaining affordable and obtainable.
Wearer: This line is great for the family or individual who wants to shop smart without having to compromise on comfort, fit or quality, the company said.
Specifics: The collection launches with 38 semi-rimless and full rim styles in acetate and mixed metal combinations, each with a spring hinge, and includes frames for men, women and children.
Selling Points: Alternative states that Vue is their most versatile and economical line yet, featuring a variety of styles for the whole family. Styling ranges from the most classic square frame looks for men, to a chic cat eye for women, along with perfect children’s looks in between. A variety of colors, including tortoise, pink, purple, blue, black and gun ensures there is something in the line that will appeal to everyone.

Specifics: One new youth size and one new women’s optical style, the first to feature Realtree APC pink camouflage.

The youth R451 comes in either a black or brown metal finish with both colors featuring authentic Realtree MAX-4 camouflage on the temples. Charmant Extends the LineArt Collection

Quick Take: Charmant Group has introduced new ophthalmic styles to their LineArt collection featuring their proprietary Excellence Titan frame material.
Specifics: Four new styles total; two styles expand on the existing Rondo segment and two introduce the newest segment, Duo.
Selling Points: Duo is designed for those who prefer understated elegance. The two models feature open profiles with double Swarovski accents on twin Excellence Titan filaments. Each of the models, with the rimless lens shape, highlight Duo’s sophisticated ensemble of two ideals symbolized by the twin profile lines, one Swarovski piece representing contemporary femininity and the other Excellence Titan for its technologically advanced comfort. The XL2050 is available in brown, gold and purple, while the XL2051 is available in black, burgundy and white. Randolph Engineering Releases New Optical Frames

Quick Take: Randolph Engineering has launched new optical models as part of the company’s new 2014 styles.
Specifics: Two new optical frames, the Ashby and the Milton, named after towns in Massachusetts, the company’s home state.
Selling Points: The Ashby features a rounded shape and a keyhole bridge, while the Milton is a more classic rectangle shape. Both styles feature 53mm skull temples with the company’s signature diamond pattern embedded in them and come available in three colors including black, brown and olive. “We are excited to kick off 2014 with two new optical frames,” said Ekene Ofodile, senior vice president of marketing and sales at Randolph Engineering, Inc. “The Ashby and Milton styles are part of a new optical line named after towns located in Massachusetts and with this new line, consumers will be invited to participate in naming process of upcoming optical products.”
