Luxottica Unveils Persol Film Noir Edition

More Images

Quick Take: Persol, a brand synonymous with Italian style, has launched the Film Noir Edition; a capsule collection that celebrates the brand’s style heritage and reintroduces an elegant ‘50s version of the Persol Arrow design, from Luxottica.
Specifics: Two brand new sunglasses, the PO3072S and PO3074S and two optical models, the PO3070V and PO3073V.
Selling Points: To create this new iconic edition, Persol undertook a journey to explore and reinterpret the 1950s by researching their archives and reintroducing the Phoenix Arrow, an exclusive design that has now been brought back to life with a modern twist in the Film Noir Edition. With its characteristic stripe design, the Phoenix Arrow is inspired by the mythical creature that rises up from its ashes and embodies the universal symbol of eternal rebirth. Inspired by the aesthetics of “film noir,” the genre that symbolizes the '50s. The result is the Film Noir capsule collection, which infuses the mysterious, intriguing and dreamlike atmosphere of the cinematic style into the new sunglass and optical models. The new models draw inspiration from the characters that perfectly epitomize the legendary detective films of the noir era: the Gangster (PO3072S), the Femme Fatale (PO3070V), the Reporter (PO3073V) and the Detective (PO3074S). The sun models are available with Polar and Photo-Polar gradient lenses.
