Unilens Rolls Out C-Vue ADDvantage Multifocal CLs
Quick Take: Unilens Vision Inc., (OTCQB: UVIC), which develops, licenses, manufactures, distributes and markets specialty contact lenses, has announced the national launch of its new disposable C-Vue ADDvantage Multifocal for Presbyopia contact lens in silicone hydrogel material for monthly replacement. The new product incorporates Unilens’ advanced next-generation multifocal contact lens design technology, which allows for ease of fit by providing a consistent near ADD power across all power profiles, resulting in clear vision for presbyopes at all distances, the company noted. The lens is also thinner and more rounded at the edges for comfort.

Specifics: The new lens for monthly replacement, which is available in a high and a low ADD, and power ranges from +6.00 to -10.00, incorporates an aspheric design with a consistent center ADD power across all power ranges. The lenses will be sold exclusively to independent eye care professionals. Unilens will provide ECPs with a user-friendly display cabinet and trial program with a 120-Day Performance Guarantee on the lenses.

Mondottica Unveils New Styles for Christian Lacroix
Quick Take: The Christian Lacroix optical collection, designed by Mondottica, has introduced new styles which exude the luxury and refinement the couture house is known for.
Specifics: Five new ophthalmic styles for women.
Selling Points: The feminine and fashion forward front shapes are thin and fine in profile. The CL1043 features a bold and feminine cat eye shape in graduated acetates and baroque temple trims with an embossed two-tone signature Paseo print. Custom acetates can be found in the CL1044, CL1045, CL3033 and CL3035, for a collection that delivers distinctive, fashionable and directional eye shapes. All the acetates in the collection are unique, created only for the brand in collaboration with Mazzuchelli. Modo Adds Suns to Paper Thin Titanium Collection
Quick Take: Following the success of Modo’s Paper Thin optical collection, the company has added sun styles to the ultra-thin titanium assortment.
Specifics: Five new sun styles, three men’s styles, one unisex and one women’s frame, featuring lenses that incorporate high chromatic definition technology (HCD). These high-performance lenses are polycarbonate, polarized, anti-reflective and anti-smudge.
Selling Points: The new launch is an expansion of the brand’s Paper Thin line and includes modified retro and aviator styles, each available in four colors. The new styles include the 654, a retro-inspired women’s frame with a rounded cat eye shape. Style 650 is a unisex aviator with teardrop lenses. The three men’s models are rectangular aviators that provide a structured look and feel. The line is inspired by the cutting-edge technology that was introduced in the Modo Paper Thin optical collection, which pairs ultra-elastic polyamide TR 90 inserts with beta-titanium weighing only 6.8 grams and measuring only 0.6 mm in thickness. Additionally, offering superior optical quality, the company’s HCD lens technology creates less stress on the eyes, increases visual activity and provides a faster reaction time, the company said. The semi-flash mirror embodies an AR coating to prevent glare as well as a hydrophobic coating to reduce marks.

Marchon has unveiled the Valentino Kiss capsule collection of sunwear. The collection features acetate sunglasses done in a highly recognizable shape that resembles the shape lips make when they kiss.
