Safilo Debuts New Polaroid Sunwear Styles
Quick Take: Safilo Group has introduced new sunwear styles in Polaroid’s latest eyewear collection.
Specifics: Three men’s sun styles and one kid’s sun style are included in Polaroid’s collection.
Selling Points: As the inventor of the polarized lens, Polaroid Eyewear combines bright colors and avant-garde design with cutting-edge polarized technology in its latest collection. The latest styles feature Polaroid’s UltraSight polarized lenses, which are made of nine functional elements: a polarizing light filter, four UV light absorbers, two shock-absorbing and two scratch-resistant layers. UltraSight lenses are available in two versions, the lightweight Ultra Light and the thicker High Quality version. For men, the pilot-shaped PLD2000 and rectangular-shaped PLD2001 are sunglasses made with memory metal; while the PLD3004 is a sportier, rectangular-shaped sunglass with flexible, soft rubber temples. Keeping the high sensitivity to UV rays in mind, Polaroid’s kid’s collection only uses UltraSight polarized lenses. Its newest style is the PLD8001, a hingeless sunglass for kids aged four to seven. Rubber finishes provide comfort and the absence of metal elements ensures safety. The lightweight, square shape is available in bright, contrasting colors like blue fronts with white-orange temples, red with blue-yellow temples, fuchsia with lilac-green temples and crimson with yellow-green temples.
