Luxottica’s Mambo Collection From Dolce and Gabbana Takes Inspiration From Vivid Colors
Quick Take: For the Mambo Collection, Dolce and Gabbana takes inspiration for these frames from music, dance and the vibrant world of the tropics. Specifics: The collection features sun and optical styles in colorful prints, bright colors and jeweled embellishments. Selling Points: Mambo Masterpiece is a limited edition metal round sun style that is adorned with gold-colored beads while the profile of the lenses are embellished with 32 precious diamond-cut Swarovski crystals. Blackfin Introduces the Spring/Summer 2017 Lamina Plus Collection

From now on, the Plus will be used by Blackfin to describe all of their products in which their deluxe hallmark titanium is combined with other materials to add to the brand’s range. Specifics: Four new models made entirely of titanium with cellulose acetate eye-rims. Selling Points: The Glen Cove BF791, an oval shape and the Searose BF792, a more angular shape both exude a feminine allure. Seen in the elongated top rim and the charm of the dual materials used for the frames is enhanced by the contrasting colors of the temples and eye rims. This can be seen in the mocha/pale pink and dark grey/green of Glen Cove or the mocha/beige and grey-green/coral of Searose. The Bremen BF793, a men’s style, is a classic rectangular shape that is enhanced with the dual materials while the Cutler BF794 completes the range by revisiting the iconic panto shape. Costa Sunglasses Adds Three New Female Styles to Beach Collection
Costa Sunglasses announced the availability of three new female sunglass styles from its Beach collection. The Gannet, Kare and Riverton will be available in plano and customized Rx for ECPs beginning March 2017. With the same bio-based, eco-friendly resin Costa uses for all their plastic sunglasses, the Gannet, Kare and Riverton come in both mirror and non-mirror options with Costa’s five standard colors in polycarbonate and a limited selection of mirror options in glass.
