Vision Ease Is Launching Task-Specific Occupational Lenses
Quick Take: Vision Ease is introducing a line of occupational lenses designed with office ergonomics in mind that feature optimal viewing zones for specific tasks, the company said.
Wearer: “Vision Ease’s new occupational designs have been created with maximum comfort in mind for those extended, up-close activities,” said David Hoagland, senior product manager at Vision Ease. “With these lenses, eyecare professionals and retailers can offer their patients a solution specific to their needs, whether that’s working on a computer or interacting with a larger office environment.”
Specifics: Three styles are available. Vision Ease Computer lenses maximize the wearer’s viewing zone for tasks closer than 6 feet, such as reading, working with objects in their hands or focusing on devices and computers.
Selling Points: Vision Ease Desk lenses are a versatile option for wearers who need roomy near and intermediate zones up to 12 feet to view screens and engage with others near their desks. Vision Ease Office lenses offer improved vision over general-purpose progressives for viewing ranges up to 20 feet. These lenses enhance near and intermediate vision as a wearer moves from meetings to computer throughout the day.

Persol Celebrates Its 100th Anniversary With Limited Edition Frames
Quick Take: Persol is commemorating its centennial with limited edition frame designs.
Specifics: The Persol 9649SG Limited Edition is a handmade design with only 200 numbered pieces, and Persol’s 9649 model is also celebrated for the 100th anniversary in a light Havana version evolving the unmistakable design of the new flex arrow.
Selling Points: With the Persol 9649SG Limited Edition frame, the famous arrow, for the first time, is being made of 18-carat gold. The frame, adorned with details such as the “750 gold” marking on the arrow, the Persol centennial date and the limited edition certification engraved in gold on the inside of the temples, is a standout style. ESE’S Jaguar Eyewear Introduces New Vintage-Inspired Optical Styles
Quick Take: Eastern States Eyewear has announced the release of 10 new optical styles in Jaguar Eyewear. Four come from Jaguar’s classic collection and six from the youthful Spirit line.
Specifics: A highlight is the addition of a vintage sensibility within several models. The frame designs often derive inspiration from that of the automobiles, via metal work or color shades.
Selling Points: Jaguar Spirit style 31705 features a rounded eye shape complimented by a keyhole bridge and contrasting stainless steel temples sporting a metallic coloration. The 39340 is a metal style with a classic deep, rounded shape with modern effects such as a flat metal top bar beset with a rounded eye rim and complimented by horn themed acetate temples.
Another look sported throughout this collection are very thin, lean metal styles. Their stainless steel construction allows for a lightweight fit, while still being sturdy enough to handle all lens needs and the day to day wear and tear men can put on their frames, the company said. All styles feature the masculine appearance that defines the collection with an array of subtle twists such as large sizes including a 60mm eye, classy detailing, contrasting colors and stylish titanium models. All Jaguar frames are produced by the German based Ferdinand Menrad GMBH.
