SECOND LOOKS
Viva International Debuts 2012 Gant Collections
More Images |
Selling Points: A classic approach is taken with the bold, handcrafted acetate model G Winslow, which accentuates the “all American prep” look of the collection, with thick temples, a wayfarer-inspired silhouette and two-tone coloration. The GS Chester, a handcrafted acetate sunglass style, is fashioned similarly. The deserts of Morocco inspired the color palette of the GS Stewart; a key men’s sun style with classic design, a round lens shape and metal stud detailing in handcrafted acetate. The GS Todd, also handcrafted in acetate, also plays to the “American in Morocco” theme. The GW Morgan, a key style in the women’s collection, features stone accents on handcrafted acetate; the same accents also decorate the temples of the semi rimless GW Patty and metal-rimmed GW Whitney. Vintage-inspired elements are featured in the new releases, including the keyhole bridge of the women’s acetate, GW Colby. A combination of collegiate and downtown styles are captured in the “nouveau prep” look of the Gant Rugger 2012 collection. The GR Nelson features a modified aviator profile in handmade acetate and can be offered as a sunglass; while the GRS Wolfie is an ultra-classic wayfarer sun with deep lenses and thick temples in handmade acetate. All Gant Rugger sunglass styles are Rx-ready and feature polarized lenses.
