More Images |
Wearer: With the revamping of the collection, the brand remains a line made for active people with demanding lifestyles.
Specifics: Twelve distinct new designs, some for men, some for women, in four different design schemes.
Selling Points: Flexon memory metal offers quality, style, fit and durability, which led to the brand selling 1.7 million units in 2011. The new design focus features four different schemes. The Structured Temple design, which features four styles; the Vigor, Vivacity and Vitality for men and the Vibrant for women, is characterized by modern styling and two-tone colorations. The second scheme, the Beveled Temple design; which includes the Form and Flux for men and the Forte for women, has temple construction with a beveled ledge that starts at the end piece and continues the full length of temple to create clean lines and architectural interest. The Classic Concept features two men’s styles, the Influence and Resilience, which as the name suggests are classic shapes with timeless style. Lastly, the Fashion Concept includes three styles, the Dynamic and Energetic for men and the Elastic for women, which feature metal fronts with metal structured endpieces, CP injection temples and gradient coloration on the temples. All the new styles feature direct soldered bridges and a new logo. To support the repositioning, Marchon is launching a global window campaign in September, a Flexon Live tour around the U.S. and into Europe next year and the introduction of new in-depth interactive videos that explain the innovation of the brand, as well as a description of its features and benefits.

Ogi Eyewear Debuts New Styles for Fall 2012
|
Specifics: New optical styles that focus on artistic colorations.
Selling Points: According to the company, this collection was inspired by oil paintings of the 19th century French Masters. Each frame emulates an artistic sophistication and has a fashionable flair that personifies Ogi Eyewear. Deep, luxurious colors, such as crimson, evergreen and midnight blue, evoke a feeling of artistic enchantment and sophisticated style. Two standouts include the 3503, which is inspired by the four elements of nature and utilizes an inventive technique to unveil the distressed façade. A milled edge along the lower eye wire gives the 3503 a discreet trace of intricacy. The 3504 is a throwback to a bygone era, featuring a classic oval lens, the frame’s matte metallic color palette and semi-round style personify a traditional spirit with a modern finesse. Ogi Eyewear continues to redefine affordable luxury with unique, innovative eyewear collections and unprecedented price points. Ogi Eyewear counter cards, postcards, large window banners and logo plaques are available.

Luxottica Bows the Dolce&Gabbana Sicilian Baroque Line
|
Specifics: One optical and one sun style.
Selling Points: Original and hyper-feminine, the styles feature romantic decorations that recall frescoes, lace and mirror frames in a relief design of gilded roses and unfurling foliage along the frames that lend an air of elegance. The DG 4167 draws inspiration from the ‘50s in shape with the Sicilian baroque embellishments along the front and temples; four roses with gilded leaves strike a dramatic balance with the black, gray, brown, green or caramel opaline plastic. Gradient lenses and the goldtone, resin-coated Dolce&Gabbana logo on the temples finish the glamorous style. The DG 3150 is a sleek acetate optical model available in five different colors; black, ice white, gray, red and caramel in the same opaline finish. The Sicilian baroque details are apparent along the temples in the form of a budding rose and gilded leaves offset by the resin-coated Dolce&Gabbana logo. Housed in burgundy velvet packaging, the Sicilian Baroque eyewear collection will be available in Dolce&Gabbana boutiques and selected stores worldwide from October 2012.
