Wearer: Reinvented to fit the natural, “normcore” style of today’s Millennials, the new Champion families include four distinct models based off of the original frames.
Specifics: A remastered collection including updated styles of the Champion, New Panamerika, Carrera 100, Carrera 96 and Carrera 97.
Selling Points: The new Champions are made from Optyl, a thermo-adjustable plastic material that gives the frames a lightweight feel, climatic adaptation, a shape-memory effect, brilliance and strength. Frame fronts are slightly smaller, profiles more polished and designed lighter, all because of the reshaped double bridge and updated, well-balanced proportions. Steel temples give the models a sporty look, and colorations range from Havana to bronze and black. Latest Carrera models like the New Panamerika, Carrera 100, Carrera 96 and Carrera 97 offer variations to the original style they were based off of. The New Panamerika has a distinct teardrop shape made of lighter steel. The Carrera 100 is a metal construction with acetate inserts framing the lenses. The Carrera 96 is teardrop-shaped and injection-molded, and the Carrera 97 is square, combining steel temples with a metal double bridge.

The DuraHinge frames for women offer superior strength and comfort with a touch of feminine style, the company said. The styles are designed with the proprietary five barrel hinge construction with the added flexibility of a spring hinge. Design features include decorative stone accents and marble temples, available in jewel tone colors. In-store merchandising materials include counter cards and custom displays for both collections.
