Costa Launches New Global Fit Collection

Wearer: “The Global Fit collection was designed to fit a wider variety of face shapes and sizes,” said Chas MacDonald, president of Costa. “As the population of active outdoors enthusiasts continues to grow, we want to make sure we have a pair of Costa’s to fit everyone.” Specifics: Costa has customized seven of its most popular styles to feature a flatter head curve, deeper adjustable nose pads and a modified Distance Between Lenses (DBL) for a more comfortable and secure fit. These characteristics enable the Global Fit collection to fit faces with higher cheekbones, longer eyelashes and flatter nose and cheek facial features, the company said.
Selling Points: Built with co-injected molded nylon, the frames also include integral hinges, anti-fogging vents and a wrap shape to protect from incoming glare. The Global Fit line can be customized in the brand’s full array of patented color enhancing polarized 580 lenses. According to the company, Costa’s 580 lens technology selectively filters out harsh yellow and harmful high-energy ultraviolet blue light, which reduces glare and eye fatigue, and produces visual clarity and sharpness respectively. The collection is also available in customized Rx sun lenses.
