Vision Ease Intros Clear Blue Filter Lenses

Wearer: Consumers who wear everyday lenses and who are looking to protect their entire eye from harmful light rays.
Specifics: Developed with protection built into the lens and not the coating, Clear Blue Filter lenses block 100 percent UVB, UVA and filter blue light to help protect eyes from harmful high-energy light. At 420 nm, they filter over three times more blue light than standard polycarbonate lenses, the company said.
Selling Points: According to Vision Ease, Clear Blue Filter lenses are “uncompromisingly clear” without unwanted color. The company’s proprietary research found that 96 percent of consumers rate lens clarity as highly important in their lens choice. “Our eyes are vulnerable to powerful light rays,” said Grady Lenski, chief marketing officer at Vision Ease. “Consumers who care about eye health need an everyday lens that protects the entire eye from the harmful effects of these damaging rays. The Clear Blue Filter lens does just that—offering high-energy light protection built into a clear, everyday polycarbonate lens. It lets our partners step their customers up to a lens that protects their eyes from the most damaging light rays,” Lenski said.

Specifics: The collection features eight styles in six color ways each.
Selling Points: Tied into the cachet of the leather goods line, but also standalone as an eyewear line, the collection presents unique acetate combinations from contrasting red/blue, green/yellow, and blue/black to elegant solid hues such as crème, brown and black.
