![]() View Larger Image |
Wearer: “In the past, consumers had to compromise comfort and convenience when they purchased photochromic lenses,” said Grady Lenski, chief marketing officer at Vision Ease. “However, that’s all changed now as we’ve developed a photochromic lens that outperforms the national brand at every turn.”
Specifics: In internal light transmission tests conducted by Vision Ease, the new photochromic lenses are 2.5 percent clearer indoors than the national brand and 7.3 percent darker outdoors. The lenses also present a faster activation (27 percent) than the national brand as well as a quicker fadeback (44 percent), according to Vision Ease.
Selling Points: The new Vision Ease photochromic lenses block 91 percent of blue light outdoors and 43 percent of blue light indoors. Additionally, the lenses contain an improved true gray color. Upcoming availability of numerous polycarbonate gray styles include: SFSV, A SFSV, D28 bifocal, D35 bifocal, 7x28 trifocal and a decentered Novel progressive.

ESE’S Jaguar Eyewear Introduces Fall Collection
![]() More Images |
Specifics: With designs inspired by the fine craftsmanship of renown automobiles, the new collection offers a dynamic mix of details such as layered metal and acetate, laser work, and dynamic color effects.
Selling Points: A wide range of materials comprising the collection includes stainless steel, pure titanium, monel and acetate. Several styles are enhanced with a variety of finishes such as antique brushing, wooden effects, as well as matte and shiny finishes. These elements are often combined in the same model such as the Jaguar Spirit 31702 which demonstrates a retro shape with matted fronts and a metal plaque showing Jaguar’s “Heritage” logo on its inner endpiece. Similarly, Spirit style 33703’s antique front allows for a slightly three-dimensional feel and faded color effects for a high fashion, almost denim look. Further defining the collection are the color contrasts apparent within each style. Particularly in Jaguar Spirit, color schemes contain two and three tone combinations including atypical highlights such as navy, rust, antique green, caramel and burgundy. As with all Jaguar frames these styles are produced by the German based Ferdinand Menrad GMBH.
