Wearer: For lovers of adventure and experience seekers.
Specifics: The Boundless line includes four new styles: West Bay, Seagrove, Gulf Shore and Oyster Bay and four existing rimless options: Ballast, Cayan, Galveston and Rockport. Six of the eight rimless sunglasses (excluding Rockport and Cayan) will be available for the first time with a green mirror lens option as well as gray, copper and blue mirror in Costa’s patented color enhancing polarized 580 lenses.
Selling Points: The brand’s new 580 lens technology selectively filters out harsh yellow and harmful high-energy UV blue light. Costa’s 580 lenses, are available in all of the rimless styles in impact resistant, lightweight polycarbonate material. Each rimless style is also available in customized prescription lenses, handcrafted in Costa’s in-house optical lab, the company said.
Costa’s new West Bay style is a medium sport aviator that blends a classic shape with performance features such as durable integral hinge technology and hypoallergenic rubberized nose pads and temple tips. The Seagrove style features a square-shaped rimless lens and also boasts rubberized temple tips to keep the sunglasses comfortably in place all day. Gulf Shore is an extra-long rectangular shape built from a nearly indestructible bio-based resin nylon material which ensures the frame holds its shape even in extreme temperatures.
Additionally, bio-based resins reduce Costa’s manufacturing process emissions and cuts the company’s overall carbon footprint, staying true to Costa’s sustainability promise. The Oyster Bay style comes in a medium fit and rectangular shape. The frame features rubberized nose pads and temple tips as well as sturdy integral hinge technology and bio-based resin frame construction.
“Our Boundless collection of rimless sunglass styles feature a variety of shape and fit options, all being extremely lightweight and comfortable,” said John Sanchez, vice president of product development for Costa. “Combined with Costa’s superior 580 lens technology and new green mirror lens option, these sunglasses will easily take you from sunrise to sunset.”

Area98 Debuts New KAOS Models
![]() More Images |
Specifics: These square, round and oval shaped frames come in both acetate and metal.
Selling Points: KK389 and KK391 present different combinations of acetate with original graphic striped patterns and crocodile prints or with sandblasted and brushed effects. In both, there is a perforated metal element at the hinge point breaking the linearity of the temples. KK392 and KK393 come in bold fluorescent color ways. Lime green, electric blue and deep red add depth. These models also feature temple details: on the KK392 small metal balls alternate with original lanyards, while the KK393 has a metal plate in colored bands incorporating the colors of the frame.
The two-tone front is also featured on the metal KK395 model, a feminine eyewear frame with a classic, yet carefree design. The rim, with thick profiles, plays on the chromatic contrasts between the inside and the outside as well as with the frame itself. Another two-tone acetate, the KK397 model is characterised by an original metal decoration on the temples: an irregular Greek fretwork reminiscent of castle spires dotted with splashes of enamel in the tones of the frame.
