BPI's Photometer Offers Unique Features
Product: UV & Luminous Transmittance (Tv) Photometer (BPI Product # 119517)
Top Line: The UV & Luminous Transmittance (Tv) Photometer from BPI (Brain Power Inc.) is an aid for quality control of lenses that have received UV light absorption treatment. The instrument also measures visible luminous transmittance, the internationally accepted measure of visible light transmittance. This value may be used for fashion tint density control as well as critical adjustments on therapeutic tints such as BPI Filter Vision 540 and BPI Filter Vision 500.
Close Up: This Photometer is very green as it uses only Light Emitting Diodes as light sources, not incandescent bulbs or mercury filled UV bulbs. Since there is no bulb drift, time between re-calibrations is greatly increased. Also, since the light sources are only illuminated when a measurement is being made, the meter consumes very little energy.
Vital Stats: Improved internal light paths and computer software reduce the measurement errors introduced by lens power and lens reflected room light.
