Applied Thermal Control Chiller Features Robust Design

Xpand Debuts World’s First Electronic Glasses For Lazy Eye Treatment

Top Line: Xpand 3D, a leader in multidimensional imaging technology, is introducing Amblyz electronic glasses for the treatment of amblyopia. Amblyz glasses work by electronically opening and shuttering the lens over the child’s good eye. A liquid crystal shutter is built into the lens and is used in order to block strong eye periodically.
Close Up: Xpand’s solution focuses on two fundamental issues that neither eye patches nor topical drugs have addressed. Using an electronic shutter to make one lens intermittently transparent or opaque, Amblyz electronic glasses occlude the healthy, strong eye in regular and intermittent periods to force the amblyopic eye to function and develop its muscles and neural connections. Secondly, the glasses are appealing and eliminate the discomfort — and social unease — of wearing a patch. Close Up: To use BPI pc Edge Coat, wet the felt tip applicator by holding the pen horizontally and cautiously press down on the felt tip against a lens. A small amount of PC Edge Coat will then moisten the felt tip. Wait three minutes between coats. Clean up excess with alcohol. Apply thin coats in order to achieve proper results. For darker color apply two to three thin layers.
