TelScreen Intros Ginger Fluorescein-Enhancing Filter
Product: Ginger Filter
Top Line: TelScreen is introducing the Ginger Filter to improve visibility of ocular sodium fluorescein staining.
Close Up: Blue excitation light interferes with observation of green fluorescence. The Ginger filter, developed in a collaborative effort between Herman H. Ginger, OD and Patrick D. Harris, PhD, blocks the excitation light to reveal concealed patterns and features. Even small dots of SPK can be detected when the blue background is eliminated.
Vital Stats: The Ginger filter is compatible with slit lamps whose objective lens protrudes beyond the housing. This includes models from Burton, Marco, Nikon, Reichert, TelScreen, Topcon, Zeiss and more.
