Top Line: Practical Systems Inc. (PSI) is introducing the Universal Generator Bag, which is designed to collect swarf from lens generators and edgers.
Close Up: This bag eliminates the need to frequently scoop swarf from coolant tanks. Disposal of the swarf is made easy with a zippered top and cloth handles on the bottom of the bag. These bags are reusable made with a vinyl top and a 400-micron mesh bottom. Includes metal rods built into the bag so it will stand upright in tank.

Hoya Vision Care North America Launches Seiko Website

Top Line: Hoya Vision North America is launching a website for its Seiko Optical U.S. subsidiary, www.seikovision.com.
Close Up: A portion of the site is dedicated to the Seiko Elite program, a program developed by eyecare professionals for eyecare professionals in order to help with practice growth and development. Through this program, Seiko will offer value-added services to participating eyecare practices, including marketing services, practice consulting and practice analytics.
“We are excited to see the impact of the new Seiko website,” said Gregg Fowler, vice president, sales and marketing at Hoya Vision Care. “Not only for our brand presence nationally, but for the services and benefits it allows us to offer eyecare professionals.”
Vital Stats: Hoya Corp. acquired 50 percent of Seiko Optical in March of 2014, and has since put its efforts into bringing the brand to the forefront in the U.S. Seiko launched its optical branch under the name Vista in the 1920s, while Hoya began developing lenses in 1941.
