• Lens Reminder—People have a lot to remember. The Lens Reminder allows users to set up reminders for the replacement of their (or their family members') contact lenses. The reminders are customizable based on each individual's bi-weekly or monthly recommended wearing schedules.

Top Line: Removing the display lenses from a frame, especially a rimlon eyewire, is time consuming and frustrating. Western Optical Supply’s Lens Splitting Plier can split the lens and remove it in one squeeze without damaging the eyewire.
Close Up: This tool is specially designed to perform a task that frequently comes up in a dispensary and laboratory.
“The eyewear on display has thin demo lenses in the eyewire that need to be removed before inserting an actual Rx lens,” explained Joshua Freilich, president of Western Optical Supply. “For a frame with a complete eyewire, this is done by removing the eyewire screw and opening the eyewire, or heating the eyewire if it is plastic, to get it to expand slightly to accept the lens by pushing it into place. However, with a rimlon frame that has the cord it lieu of an eyewire on the bottom half of the lens (also called a semi-rimless), removing the lens is a challenge.  Usually the demo lens is in so tightly that you cannot pop it out with your fingers. This means that you have to use a rimlon tool to remove the wire first. That’s time consuming, and you run the risk of breaking the line.”
