MEISystem Offers ‘Blockless’ Technology For Its Midrange Edger
Top Line: TBA (Throw the Block Away) Technology from MEIsystem enables the control of power and cutting without the aid of centering blocks. Having been fully tested on the double-head Bisphera machine, this inspection group and automatic loading function is now also available on the Mei641, the company's “midrange” solution for small and medium-sized assembly workshops.
Close Up: The TBA unit considerably reduces production costs and flaws deriving from manual finishes, without increasing shaping cycle times, according to MEIsystem. The need for a finishing block has been eliminated thanks to an integrated lens loading system that combines lens inspection, orientation and loading operations in a single internal process.
