Eyefinity Partners With Abyde on HIPAA Compliance Management Application
Top Line: Eyefinity has formed a partnership with Abyde, a Tampa, Fla.-based tech start-up that has developed an easy-to-use HIPAA compliance management application. According to Eyefinity, the partnership will provide its customers with an intuitive and automated approach to managing ever-changing HIPAA regulations.
Close Up: Abyde is a cloud-based software solution that enables eyecare professionals to easily attain and sustain internal HIPAA compliance programs by walking them through the Risk Analysis, ongoing compliance, policy, procedure, and HIPAA training requirements. Users will be notified via email when they need to address a compliance item. The program will then require a log in, the answering of a few questions and at the end of the process Abyde then will automatically generate all documentation necessary to meet the Meaningful Use, MACRA, and MIPS Risk Analysis Core Measures and Objectives.

Local Eye Site Updates Website
Top Line: Local Eye Site, an online employment site for eyecare professionals, recently launched the newest version of their website. Their site, localeyesite.com, has been redesigned to improve the user experience for both job-seekers and employers, according to an announcement from the company.
Close Up: The enhanced website includes streamlined page-to-page navigation and a scrolling webpage to make the site more user-friendly. Incorporated into the new design is a social platform intended to attract more job-seekers and a chat feature that increases the ability to connect with customer support. The website also offers a new blog that delivers advice on how to best navigate the employment market in the eyecare industry.
“Local Eye Site remains the leading job board for the eyecare industry, but we’ve also evolved as a robust recruitment services company,” stated Local Eye Site president Brad McCorkle. “Our new site better reflects these new products, services and capabilities.”
Vital Stats: This recent upgrade is the second phase of a site enhancement project that began with a renovation of the back-end of the website in 2016 and included a new Applicant Tracking System for employers.
