Additionally, the SVOne includes new hardware which eliminates most alignment issues.
“After years of refinement and improvement, feedback from doctors and the optometric market, the current product offers mature presentation of our patented wavefront technology,” said Yaopeng Zhou, Smart Vision Labs’ CEO and co-founder. “There are no other wavefront devices which can compete with our product’s quality, price and accuracy.”
Smart Vision Labs said its autorefractor technology has been validated by three different clinical studies which show the accuracy and effectiveness of the autorefractor in a number of different settings. The device is effective in many situations including mobile optometry practices, nursing homes, school screenings, optical practices and by any doctor who is looking for a cost-effective wavefront autorefractor. With a small footprint, it can be used in locations with limited area and can easily be moved from room to room. One of the significant updates to the device has been a new stand which eliminates most alignment issues. The device can also be attached to a standard tripod for easier portability.
Vital Stats: The device is ready to ship and can be purchased or leased directly from Smart Vision Labs. Smart Vision Labs will be showcasing the SVOne series of autorefractors at International Vision Expo West.

Close Up: Workers in many fields, like manufacturing, logistics, field services, and health care find it useful to consult a wearable device for information and other resources while their hands are busy. To meet the needs of people in these fields, Google has worked closely with a network of more than 30 expert partners to build customized software and business solutions. There are now more than 50 customers using Glass including AGCO, DHL, Dignity Health, GE Aviation, NSF International, Sutter Health, The Boeing Company, and Volkswagen.
For now, Glass devices and software solutions are sold and supported exclusively through the Glass Partners network. Glass Partners provides end-to-end Glass solutions for businesses. Currently, Google is encouraging businesses in manufacturing, logistics, field service and health care industries to reach out to a Glass Partner to see how Glass could have the right impact. Glass is not limited to those sectors, the company noted. The best way to get an estimate is to contact a Glass Partner to talk about specific business needs. Cost can vary based on level of software customization, customer support and training required.
Vital Stats: Glass Enterprise Edition is designed to be attached to frames so people can choose frames that suit their face and snap Glass onto them. The redesigned device has more power, improved battery life and better processing power which means it can support people using multiple applications at once and a better battery life so that workers can now stream videos and watch tutorials for longer too.
Improved camera: Glass now takes clearer pictures, including in low light. Glass Enterprise Edition can connect with other devices, including keyboards. Glass uses a custom build of Android and only comes with a camera app that can take photos or videos and voice command and control capabilities.
