The wearable device communicates visual information by utilizing a small, intuitive smart camera mounted on the wearer’s eyeglass frame, which connects to a smartphone-sized computer. OrCam MyEye is the only wearable assistive tech that relays audio in real time through an intuitive pointing gesture, without the need of a smartphone or Wi-Fi. OrCam MyEye makes newspapers, books, computer and smartphone screens, restaurant menus, labels on supermarket products and street signs accessible in real time.
Vital Stats: OrCam MyEye is available in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Hebrew, with new languages continually added and launching in a growing number of countries. A licensed subscription is purchased via an in-app purchase and renews monthly. Initial one-month free trial is available. Monthly subscription costs $34.99 USD and is required to use the application. An additional subscription allowing for use on an unlimited number of devices is available via an in app purchase for an additional, recurring $9.99 USD monthly charge.
