Latest News CEI Vision Partners Acquires Dayton-Based Ophthalmology Practice By Staff Tuesday, October 16, 2018 12:24 AM CINCINNATI—CEI Vision Partners (CVP), a leading ophthalmology services organization formed by Cincinnati Eye Institute and Revelstoke Capital Partners, has acquired Dayton Eye Associates in Dayton, Ohio. This is the first acquisition for CVP since it was formed in May 2018, according to an announcement late last week. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Cincinnati Eye Institute (CEI), one of the largest ophthalmology practices in the country, announced the formation of CEI Vision Partners in partnership with Denver-based Revelstoke Capital Partners in May, as VMAIL reported. Dayton Eye Associates is a group of 12 ophthalmologists and optometrists who specialize in a range of eye problems including the treatment of cataract, glaucoma, oculoplastics, corneal disease, pediatric ophthalmology, and neuro-ophthalmology, according to the recent announcement. The physicians see patients in three locations in the Dayton area."The collaboration between CVP and Dayton Eye Associates is a win-win for our patients and doctors," Clyde Bell, chief executive officer of CVP, said in the announcement. "Our service model now allows patients greater access to top ophthalmologists and optometrists who can now spend more time seeing patients instead of attending to the business side of the practice."CVP said in the announcement that it expects to “partner with additional ophthalmology practices over the next several months.” Bell added, "CVP is building one of the country's leading ophthalmology management organizations.”Walter Hartel, MD, vice president of Dayton Eye Associates, said the Dayton-based practice is “excited about the opportunity to enhance the level of care offered to our community by joining a state-of-the-art team with such expertise and upside management potential.”CVP has more than 70 providers across all major sub-specialties in ophthalmology and optometry, and it strives to attract best-in-class physicians and staff, according to the announcement last week.
