Latest News Envision Receives $5,000 Monsanto Fund Grant for Level Up Conference By Staff Friday, July 14, 2017 12:18 AM WICHITA, Kan.—Envision has received a $5,000 grant from the Monsanto Fund’s 2017 site grant initiative. Funds from the grant will be used to support Envision’s Level Up Conference, a residential experience held at Wichita State University July 9 to14 that is open to high school students with visual impairments living in all areas of the country who want to focus on academic success, explore assistive technology, enhance their interpersonal skills and prepare for their entry into the workforce.“Envision is extremely grateful for the donation from the Monsanto Fund that will add to the success of the Level Up Conference this year and in the future,” said Heather Hogan, senior vice president of foundation and mission services at Envision. “At Envision, our goal is to challenge teens with vision loss to set high personal, academic and career goals and believe in their ability to achieve them. With its focus on strengthening communities, the Monsanto Fund is the perfect partner for this initiative.”Envision, based here, promotes advocacy and independence for those who are blind or low vision. Founded in 1933, it is one of the largest employers of individuals with vision loss in the nation.The Monsanto Fund, the philanthropic arm of the Monsanto Company, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the communities where farmers and Monsanto Company employees live and work.
