Latest News IDOC and Abyde Finalize Partnership to ‘Solve HIPAA Challenges’ for Independent ODs By Staff Friday, November 17, 2017 12:24 AM NORWALK, Conn.—IDOC and Abyde have agreed to a “formal partnership” under which the technology company will provide solutions and education related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for IDOC’s 3,000-plus member doctors, according to an announcement earlier this week.Steve Vargo, OD, MBA and IDOC’s optometric practice management consultant, said the reason the alliance chose to partner with Abyde is “because Abyde has created a very simple solution to the complex requirements of HIPAA compliance, something most doctors view as a distraction from patient care and practice management.”The new partnership will provide IDOC members with direct access to Abyde’s team of HIPAA experts as well as expose members to exclusive pricing for Abyde’s revolutionary HIPAA solution, according to the announcement.Abyde, which launched in January, “guides doctors and staff through all aspects of HIPAA compliance, including the risk analysis, drafting and updating policies and procedures, and interactive HIPAA training,” according to the announcement.
