NEW YORK—The Optical Women’s Association has announced its 2018 OWA Connection Series at Vision Expo West. The event, titled Earning It: Hard-Won Lessons From Trailblazing Women at the Top of the Business World, will feature author and speaker, Joann Lublin. Lublin’s book, Earning It, showcases interviews with 52 high-level executives, most of whom are experienced public company CEOs. This year’s OWA Connection Series will take place on Thursday, Sept. 27. Lublin served as management news editor for The Wall Street Journal and has covered executive pay, corporate governance, management and recruiting as well as succession.

She still writes an advice column for The Wall Street Journal. In 2018, she was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award given by the Gerald Loeb Awards which is the highest honor in business journalism.

Additionally, in 2003, Lublin shared the Journal’s Pulitzer Prize for stories about corporate scandals.
