TAMPA, Fla.—Premier Eye Care president and chief executive officer Lorna Taylor recently was honored with the 2018 Leadership Award by Working Women of Tampa Bay. The leadership award, presented annually at a luncheon, recognizes Tampa Bay area women who excel in their careers and make a significant difference in the community, according to an announcement. Under Taylor’s leadership, Tampa-based Premier Eye Care has become a leader in managed eyecare and technology-based solutions and is recognized for its corporate culture and commitment to diversity at every level, according to the announcement. Premier has a 4 percent turnover rate, significantly lower than the 35 percent industry average, and has been ranked nationally as one of the 75 “Best Places to Work for Millennials” by the Center for Generational Kinetics, the announcement noted.

“Lorna exemplifies the qualities a leader in today’s world should have, and sets an excellent example for working women everywhere,” Jessica Rivelli, founder of Working Women Tampa Bay, said. “We are proud to recognize her contributions both professionally and personally.”

Taylor is involved in a wide variety of community and nonprofit causes. She serves on the boards of The Dalí Museum, Preserve Vision Florida, Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence Foundation, University of Tampa Board of Trustees, Arts Conservatory for Teens, and Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts, according to the announcement.

Premier Eye Care also has ranked as one of “Florida’s Best Companies to Work For” by Florida Trend for five consecutive years, and as one of the state’s fastest-growing companies by the Florida Business Journals, the announcement stated.
