SAN RAFAEL, Calif.—Restoring Vision, the optical non-profit organization dedicated to providing new reading glasses to those in need, is urging the optical industry to turn #GivingTuesday into #GivingSightDay. According to Restoring Vision, November 27’s #GivingTuesday, is the global day of giving which harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy. With turning #GivingTuesday into #GivingSightDay, RestoringVision hopes to raise $30,000 to transform 40,000 lives through the gift of sight. Every dollar donated will be converted into glasses for people living in impoverished communities around the world. The first $10,000 raised will be matched by National Vision, Inc.
