Golden Leaves a Legacy of Forward-thinking Vision Donald Golden, ODSOUTHFIELD, Mich.—Services will be held Thursday (Aug. 2) for Dr. Donald Golden of Bal Harbour, Fla., who, two months shy of 100 years, passed away peacefully July 30, 2018, according to a notice posted by his family. He is survived by his wife, Marion (and her children Daniel Bloomfield and Tania Bloomfield); sons and daughters-in-law Michael Golden, Richard and Shelley Golden, Randy and Tracey Golden; grandchildren Seth (Hilary) Golden, Bradley (Diana) Golden, Jessica (Nici Maruri) Golden, Jaclyn, Jaynee, Jenna Golden, and great-grandchildren Claudia and Miles Golden, Gabriella, Giuliana, and Gemma Golden. Dr. Golden was an influential figure in the U.S. optical field and an optometrist who founded D.O.C Optics. Dr. Golden was the husband of 61 years of the late Norma Golden. He was the brother of the late Dorothy (the late Irving) Chaiken and the brother of Florence (the late Jack) Posar. He was the son of the late Philip and Ethel Golden. The funeral will be held here at The Ira Kaufman Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, with internment following at Beth El Memorial Park. Rabbi Paul Yedwab will officiate. Religious services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday.It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of Dr. Donald L.
