Persol from Luxottica  has released a new sunglass style that takes its inspiration from the iconic looks of the 1980s. Persol has continued to look to its archives to create  modern frames from timeless styles. They've done this through the reinterpretation of the PO3225S, an iconic 80’s model with Hollywood allure. "Persol honors its innovative brand identity with these iconic sunglasses, which were seen on Tom Cruise in the 1988 film Cocktail," the company stated. This model shows off a boxy design that is elevated with a structured, straight frame front, making this "the perfect accessory for the eclectic style that characterizes Persol’s contemporary aesthetic." The Persol heritage and  history are seen in elements such as the key bridge inspired by the well-known 649 model and in the flex arrow that seals the slim temples.
