Atlantic Street Capital, has appointed Brad Staley as chief executive officer, effective immediately. Staley will oversee all operations of Advancing Eyecare's ophthalmic equipment industry business units:

Enhanced Medical Services, according to an announcement Monday. Staley is the first chief executive officer of Advancing Eyecare and will be responsible for each of the four individual companies under its ownership, a spokesman told
VMAIL. David Marco and Bryan Bevin, a senior operating advisor to Atlantic Street Capital’s portfolio companies, will continue in their roles as co-chairman, the spokesman added.

New England College of Optometry (NECO) has named Erik Weissberg, OD, FAAO, as the college’s next vice president and dean of academic affairs, beginning May 1, 2019. Dr. Weissberg graduated from NECO in 1997, before going on to complete a residency in pediatrics in 1998. That same year, he was appointed assistant professor in the specialty and care advanced program at NECO and in 2009 was promoted to professor of optometry with tenure. In 2008, Dr. Weissberg was named director of clinical education, a role he has served in ever since.
