Latest News National Optometric Association and Transition Optical Publish Insights from 2016 Multicultural Millennial Panel By Staff Monday, December 12, 2016 12:18 AM PINELLAS PARK, Fla.—The National Optometric Association (NOA) and Transitions Optical Inc. have released an educational paper “Eyes on Millennials: The Most Culturally Diverse Generation” which touches on highlights from a panel, “Multicultural Millennial Matters” which took place during NOA’s 2016 Annual Convention in Chicago.The panel, which was moderated by NOA vice president, Sherrol Reynolds, OD, FAAO, included a mix of experienced and Millennial eye doctors who each have strong familiarity with both multicultural and Millennial patients. The paper goes on to explore the following points: • Who the multicultural Millennials are, what they value and the challenges and opportunities they present eyecare professionals. • Cultural considerations for improving quality of care. • Best practices and strategies from practicing eyecare professionals on how to better understand and connect with multicultural Millennials patients.
