LEWIS CENTER, Ohio—For the team at Professional VisionCare
, getting involved with the local community is written in their DNA. It’s something every employee carries close to their heart, as well as something this independent practice’s management is wholly committed to. Professional VisionCare is an independent practice in Ohio with four locations. Practice director Raquel Miller explained that, each year, they virtually survey all staff, crowdsourcing ideas for local involvement events that “serve our community.” This allows Professional VisionCare staff to give a platform to causes close to their heart, and gives the whole practice a multitude of causes to choose from for their major events each year.

For creatives, inspiration can strike anytime and anywhere. Sometimes, it seems like the most curious things spark incredible ideas—be it a strange looking branch, a beautiful line in a song or a touching moment with a family member. For independent eyewear brand TAVAT
, design inspiration comes from the iconic shape of a soup can. TAVAT’s SoupCan collection

NEW YORK—It’s pretty hard to miss Super Bowl Sunday. Regardless of whether or not their team makes the big game, millions of Americans and international viewers tune in every year to watch the action. The Super Bowl is, after all, America’s biggest TV event, each and every year. But it hasn’t always been that way—and, by the looks of it, it might not always be that way either.

NEW YORK—Resolutions are a particularly personal thing—often, we start the New Year off striving to improve our lives or ourselves in ways we might not want to share with others just yet, and it feels better to keep those things private. NEW YORK—World Sight Day 2018 is officially behind us, but that doesn’t mean it’s in the rearview; in fact, the money raised, glasses donated, and ECPs trained this World Sight Day will have a long-lasting effect on the world, and the people helped will continue to reap the benefits of the optical industry’s generosity for years to come. That long-lasting magic is, after all, what makes World Sight Day so important.

This year, Vision Expo West turns 30
. That means that for 30 years, Vision Expo West has been bringing the industry together. From the California coast to fabulous Las Vegas, Vision Expo West has made the West Coast the place to be for the optical community every September. That much hasn’t changed. Just about everything else has, though.
